Hiring the Mill

Every stay at the Mill helps us deliver our charitable purpose.

The Mill exists as a place for young people to learn, explore and grow. For generations, children and young people have stayed at the site, building confidence outdoors, developing friendships and creating memories that we know can last a lifetime.

Every stay at the Mill helps support this charitable purpose, and fund its continuing operation. We are proud that the site continues to be used by a wide range of schools, youth groups and community organisations, ensuring as many young people as possible can benefit from time away in the countryside.

The Mill is cared for by its dedicated wardens, Alice and Sam, who oversee bookings and help groups make the most of their stay. Whether organisations or groups of friends and family are looking for a self-guided visit or a fully catered experience, they work closely with groups to provide a welcoming and flexible experience.

To help keep the Mill financially accessible to schools and youth organisations, weekday stays for educational groups are offered at a lower rate. A slightly higher charge is applied to private weekend bookings, helping subsidise costs and support wider access for children and young people.

You can learn more about staying at the Mill via its Group Accommodation Page.

You can also find 2026 prices and a series of FAQs about the site here.

For booking enquiries, schools and organisations can also contact the wardens directly at themill452@gmail.com.
